Time flies when you're having fun!

Wow!  I decided to see if our old blog was still up and can't believe how much has happened since my last post!  I'm thinking of posting again, but looks like I'll need a new blog name first.  Little Will, who is now 2 1/2, was just a twinkle in our eyes the last time I posted.  I would love to start posting again.  I think family blogs are such a great way to record amazing memories as they are made. Let's see if I'm able to find the time...

8 Months + 1 day!

Happy 8 Months to Katelyn!

Okay, so the last couple of months I've been on summer vacation and you would think that would give me lots of extra time to blog...well, we have kept very busy and I've definitely neglected the blog. I am going to try to spend a little time tomorrow playing catch-up!

This has been a great month for Katelyn - she is SO close to crawling! She is able to push herself up to sitting from her belly and get down on all fours. She is such a happy baby and LOVES TO EAT!!! She has a very strong personality and definitely lives up to her nickname of "Princess"! I will post her 7 and 8 month pictures tomorrow!

One half of a year!!!

Happy 6 months to Katelyn! We celebrated by mommy taking the day off of work! Well actually, school is out for the summer...yay! I am enjoying spending my days with Katelyn and Patrick so much. I had a really busy month at work, so I haven't had a chance to blog. Katelyn had a great month. She can sit up on her own now and even stand for a few seconds! She sleeps from 8:00 at night until 8:00 in the morning. She loves to eat applesauce, prunes, peaches, sweet potatoes, and bananas. She laughs CONSTANTLY, especially at her big brother. We will find out how much she weighs in a couple of weeks, but I suspect it is around 20 pounds. She is already wearing 12 month clothes!

Patrick is doing great, too! He is talking non-stop now! He says "mom" and "dad" at least 300 times everyday. He speaks Spanish a lot of the time, but is starting to learn that when he is with mom and dad he speaks English and when he is with Marta (his babysitter) he speaks Spanish. He still loves Elmo and has learned how to tap dance like Elmo. He also loves Bob the Builder and we even took him to a live Bob show this month! Patrick is SO adventurous and frankly, a little dare devil. He climbs on EVERYTHING. When we go up to the lake house, one of his favorite things to do is ride his trike off of the fireplace, so that it flips over. We went to American Adventures today and Patrick rode all of the big kid rides by himself. He is so brave. We have decided that he will for sure be a football player!

Now that we finally have a good routine and Katelyn is sleeping through the night, things have settled down and we are just really enjoying having the 2 sweetest babies in the world!

Baptism

We had Katelyn and Patrick baptized this past weekend. They both did so great! We forgot to take many pictures of them all dressed up, but here is one at the church. I am going to try to figure out a way to post a video of the baptism.

Fun in Florida!

We had such a nice week in Florida during my Spring Break. The weather was perfect! Patrick had an awesome time at the beach and we enjoyed hanging out with Matt, Naomi, and Terry! Patrick's favorite part of the whole trip was riding the train at the Go-Cart place and screaming "Choo Choo" the whole time. I've never seen him smile so big!

California

Before April completely slips away from me, I want to post some of my favorite pictures from this month. We've made two big trips in the past few weeks. One to California and one to the beach in Florida. I'll post the beach pictures in a day or two! For now...here is California.

We went out to California to be with Devin's family as we remembered his "Little Grandma". This is one of my favorite pictures of Little Grandma and us when Patrick was just a few months old. We wish she could have met Katelyn, but are comforted by knowing that she is watching all of us from above. She was such a sweet lady and will be SO missed.

She is SO cute and Patrick just loved kissing on her! I can't wait until Katelyn and Addison are both a little older. They are going to be adorable together!
