Waiting for Santa...

Happy Times!

Patrick and Katelyn have enjoyed having their Gramma and Grampa visit all the way from California. Katelyn has loved all the snuggle time that she has gotten and Patrick has loved having tons of play time! We even went to the Children's Museum with Grampa and Patrick had a BLAST!

Busy!

Things have been super busy here - learning to adjust to life with 2 little ones and getting ready for the holidays! I wanted to post a picture of Katelyn, so you can see how much she has grown. We weighed her at the doctor's office yesterday and she is up to 9 pounds, 4 ounces! Looks like she is going to eat well like her big brother!

So, this is what it is like...

So, today I was alone with Patrick and Katelyn for the first time while Devin went to a work meeting. It was only about an hour, but oh was it a busy hour! While I was nursing Katelyn, Patrick was playing in the kitchen when I noticed he was really quiet. I went to check on him and this is what I found...Yep, he was in a crock pot in the corner cabinet. Ay!!! So, I got him out and then he proceeded to do this...
Please excuse the mess on his shirt...I wasn't too concerned with his appearance at the time! Oh, and this afternoon, my assistant from school came to visit and meet Katelyn and while she was here, Patrick called my boss! Oh boy, this is going to be fun!

Welcome Katelyn Elizabeth!

We are so proud to announce that Katelyn Elizabeth was born on Saturday, November 29 at 9:47 am! She is so beautiful and has strawberry blonde hair! Patrick is loving his role as big brother so far and gets the biggest grin on his face every time he looks at Katelyn. We let him hold her in his lap yesterday and he looked SO proud!

Katelyn is healthy and growing everyday! She had her first doctor's appointment today and she said that she looks perfect in every way. She is eating like a champ and I have a feeling that her tinyness won't last long!

All I Want for Christmas is a Sweet Little Sister!

We took Patrick to see Santa early this year since Katelyn will be here in 2 weeks and we obviously won't be able to take her out to a mall. Patrick was not too sure about this old man with a long white beard! He was very serious the entire time that he sat on his lap. At least there were no tears. I think Patrick actually liked him, he just wasn't about to smile for him! Maybe next year...
