Two Healthy Babies!

Yesterday, we had Patrick's 18 month check up and Katelyn's 2 month check up. They are both super healthy and doing well! Patrick is now 35 inches tall (97%!) and weighs 27 lbs., 6 ounces (75%). Katelyn is up to 12 lbs., 2 ounces (85%) and 23.5 inches tall (90%). The nurse commented that we definitely do not make small babies! Katelyn got FOUR shots and only cried for about 10 seconds - not bad! Patrick got one shot and barely whimpered! I still hated every second of it!

Happy 2 Months!

Katelyn is 2 months old and she has had a very busy second month! She smiles all the time, is great at holding her head up, and sleeps for a 7 hour stretch at night! This month she rang in 2009, celebrated her daddy's 30th birthday, saw the first African-American president being sworn into office, and travelled through Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama. While in Arkansas, she met her 96 year old great-grandma, her Uncle Matt, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins (I will post pics when I get my hands on them)! Also while in Arkansas, Katelyn experienced an earthquake (just a 2.9), but an earthquake none-the-less. The trip ended with a terrible ice storm that crippled most of the area. Patrick, Katelyn, Mommy, and Daddy spent a fun night in a hotel with absolutely no power or heat. There was some major cuddling going on!

First Bath Together!

Since Katelyn's bedtime has been moved back to a decent hour, she gets to take a bath with her big brother. They have such fun (and we get the job done in half the time)!!

Katelyn and I woke Patrick up from his nap today and I snapped some pictures while they played together. They were both having a great time!

Happy New Year!!!

I hope that 2009 is as wonderful as the past few years have been for us! Well, maybe we won't have another baby this year, but still...

Devin, Patrick, and I all went to a New Year's Eve party. Patrick didn't make it until midnight. In fact, he slept in the bathroom! There were about 8 toddlers spread throughout the house and yes, Patrick got the bathroom! Hopefully, that is not a sign of how parties will be for him as a teenager and college student!

Gigi and Granddad got to babysit Katelyn while we went to our party! Here are some pictures from their night.
